  • Task analysis is the breakdown of how a task is accomplished (wikipedia)
  • Task analysis is also the careful examinations of problems
An example could be breaking down all the steps of making toast:

1.  Go to the fridge
2.  Get bread
3.  Walk to the toaster
4.  Put the bread in the toaster
5.  Push the lever on the toaster down
6.  Adjust to the appropriate setting
7.  Wait until the toast pops out
8.  Take the toast out
9.  Done!

WHEW! That was hard work..

  • By breaking down a task into its absolute smallest parts, you can gain an understand of where you went right or where you went wrong.
